On July 14, 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized a charity walk-and-run event, “RUTS Walk and Run 2024: Joining Steps, Echoing the Love for Rajamangala University,” to honor the 72nd birthday of His Majesty the King and to raise funds for scholarships. The event took place at the Hat Yai Municipal Park, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.
Professor Suwatch Thanyaros, the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, presided over the ceremony, offering incense and candles in front of a portrait of His Majesty the King, and delivered a speech conveying royal birthday wishes. The Faculty of Engineering participated in the event enthusiastically, led by Associate Professor Surasit Rawangwong, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as a symbol of loyalty to the monarchy.
