On May 27, 2024, Dr. Lamut Keyurinth, Assistant to the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, along with the Faculty of Engineering’s administration, led by Associate Professor Surasit Rawangwong, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with the Vice Deans, Assistant Deans, and department heads, welcomed a delegation of faculty and students from Kolej Vokasional Melaka Tengah, Melaka, Malaysia. The delegation visited the Faculty of Engineering at the Kalpapruek Meeting Room, Sri Witsawawittaya Building, to meet with administrators, foster academic collaboration, exchange engineering knowledge, and establish a good relationship at the faculty level. Certificates were awarded to the visiting faculty and students, along with souvenirs from the Faculty of Engineering.
The Head of Quality Assurance from Kolej Vokasional Melaka Tengah stated that the college identified and chose the Faculty of Engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya as the first institution to visit and study engineering education. The college aims to guide its students towards pursuing bachelor’s degrees in the future and recognizes the faculty’s potential in producing quality engineers.
The faculty and staff of the Faculty of Engineering invited the delegation from Kolej Vokasional Melaka Tengah to tour the Civil Engineering Department’s learning laboratories and the Marine Mechanical Engineering Department’s laboratories. They also attended lectures by Assistant Professor Apichit Srichairatana, Head of the Marine Mechanical Engineering Department, on the curriculum’s teaching management, and Mr. Thanapol Taweechuen, a Marine Mechanical Engineering student who interned at NYK Ship Management PTE LTD in Singapore for 12 months and is about to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. His experiences served as inspiration for the visiting students.
